Top Performers
Amid all the drama, certain players stood out for their exceptional contributions. From game-changing knocks and devastating bowling spells to consistent performances that kept their teams in contention, these were the top performers of Round 4:
Eastern Division
- Jasdeep Singh (New Jersey Stallions): When a team tops the standings undefeated, it usually reflects strong teamwork and leadership on the field , exactly what Jasdeep Singh delivered for the Stallions. Maintaining his excellent form since Round 1, the tall all-rounder impressed with both bat and ball. He earned two Player of the Match awards against NYC Titans and The Philadelphians, while his 13/3 against New England Eagles proved crucial in securing the Stallions’ commanding win
- Vishal Reddy (The Philadelphians): Vishal Reddy played one of the season’s most resilient innings against the New Jersey Stallions. After Jasdeep Singh’s blistering 45 off just 15 balls propelled the Stallions to 163/4, Reddy stood alone for The Philadelphians, smashing a brilliant century off 66 deliveries, including six sixes and seven fours. Despite his heroics, the lack of support from the other end meant Reddy’s valiant effort wasn’t enough, as the Stallions sealed a 23-run victory
- Ramanvir Dhaliwal (New Jersey Stallions): Joining the Stallions in Round 3, Ramanvir Dhaliwal made his presence felt in Round 4 with crucial middle-order contributions. Coming in at number 5, he scored 34 off 25 against NYC Titans and 43 off 36 against The Philadelphians, providing stability to the Stallions’ innings in both matches. His knock against the Titans was particularly noteworthy, as he successfully chased 14 runs off the final over to help maintain the Stallions’ unbeaten streak
Southern Division
- Soaeb Tai (Atlanta Lightning): Tai was the driving force behind Atlanta Lightning’s Round 4 success, especially in their match-ups against Morrisville Raptors, delivering back-to-back match-winning performances that could prove vital in their playoff bid. Against Raptors, he claimed 18/4 with the ball, including a double-wicket maiden, and chipped in with 26 off 18 in the first match-up of the round. The next day, he lit up the innings with a quick-fire 61 off 31 balls, smashing five sixes, before adding 21/2 to bowl the Raptors out for just 62 , sealing a crushing 133-run victory.

- Sunny Patel (Atlanta Fire): A model of consistency, Sunny Patel claimed seven wickets in Round 4, including two three-wicket hauls. His destructive 5/3 against Morrisville Raptors came at an astonishing economy of just 1.25, demonstrating his ability not only to take wickets but also to stifle the opposition’s scoring. He followed it up with another match-winning performance, taking 27/3 against the Baltimore Royals to keep his team in control.
Western Division
- Sujith Gowda (East Bay Blazers): Opening the batting, Gowda has always been a key contributor for the Blazers. In an exciting display against San Diego Surf Riders, his unbeaten 87 off 54 balls helped the Blazers chase down 158 in the 17th over. He followed it up with a more conservative, but contextually important, knock of 38 off 34 deliveries in a tense low-scoring contest against San Ramon Grizzlies, assisting East Bay Blazers secure their place in the playoffs and helping Gowda become the first batter in MiLC History to score 2000 runs.
- Shehan Jayasuria (Silicon Valley Strikers): Another MiLC veteran from the West Coast, Jayasuria showed that experience matters when he produced one of the season’s best knocks against San Diego Surf Riders. The stylish opener scored the third century of his MiLC career, carrying his bat through with 111 off just 62 deliveries, smashing six sixes and ten fours in the process.
- Kamran Hotak ( Silicon Valley Strikers): ayasuria’s young teammate, Kamran Hotak, has been a promising prospect for the Strikers since last season. The youngster found his groove in Round 4, taking five wickets while conceding just 41 runs across 12 overs in three games.
Central Division
- Shayan Jahangir (Dallas Xforia Giants): A standout top-order batter, Jahangir showed his mettle by scoring his second century of the season, smashing the Kings XI Dallas bowling line-up to all corners of the Grand Prairie Cricket Stadium. The stylish opener hit seven sixes and ten fours, helping his team post a challenging 192/4 – a total that proved too steep for the Kings XI batters, who fell short by 20 runs.
- Shubham Ranjane (Metroplex Tracers): Probably the most consistent batter of the Tracers, Ranjane led from the front, scoring vital knocks at a critical stage of the competition to keep his team in playoff contention. The Tracers skipper proved a source of frustration for the Lone Star Athletics, remaining unbeaten twice and anchoring the Tracers’ innings in Round 4 with scores of 59 off 34 and 40 off 33, respectively
- Smit Patel (Dallas Xforia Giants): While Jahangir did it with centuries, it has been the steady bat of his opening partner, Smit Patel, that has shouldered most of the scoring for the Giants since Round 1. The opener was in full flow in both games against Kings XI Dallas in Round 4 as well, scoring 45 off 38 and 79 off 57, respectively, to finish as the leading run-scorer in the Central Division.
- Andries Gous (Kings XI Dalls): Gous has played only two matches so far for Kings XI, but he has made every ball count. The stylish power-hitter produced back-to-back vital knocks, including a match-winning 88 off 53 against Dallas Xforia Giants, taking his team into a Super Over. His heroics with the bat in the Super Over cemented his place as a valuable asset for Kings XI going forward.
Highlights Beyond Numbers
Round 4 was packed with moments that went beyond the stats as record-breaking feats, match-winning heroics, and rare achievements defined the weekend.
Here are the standout highlights that left their mark on the competition:
Sujith Gowda Breaks the 2000-Run Barrier (East Bay Blazers)

Andries Gous, long rated as a dangerous power-hitter, proved it in style for Kings XI. He first smashed 88 off 53 balls to help his team into a tie against the Dallas Xforia Giants, forcing a Super Over. Backed to carry his momentum, Gous rose to the occasion again, blasting two sixes and a four to set 24 for the Giants to chase – a target they could only manage half of.
A Quadruple of Doubles (Baltimore Royals)
It was a weekend of double-wicket maidens. Soaeb Tai (Atlanta Lightning) dismantled Morrisville Raptors’ chase with his, while Stephen Wiig (New Jersey Stallions) stalled NYC Titans by striking twice in the final over of the powerplay.
The best of the lot, however, came from Baltimore Royals’ Aryan Batra, who achieved the unprecedented feat of bowling two double-wicket maidens — taking four wickets in his 6th and 14th overs against Atlanta Fire, bundling them out for just 83.
Last-Ball Victory Takes Chicago Kingsmen to Playoffs
After Sukhjinder Singh’s match-winning 17/4 restricted Chicago Tigers to just 103/9 in a match reduced to 17 overs, Chicago Kingsmen didn’t have it easy either as the man went down to the wire. However, the Kingsmen held their nerve sealing a last-ball win when Ghulam Mudassar hit a boundary off the final delivery from Jimit Patel to make sure Chicago Kingsmen become the first team from Central Division to make it to the playoffs.
Playoff Contention: Who’s Through and Who’s Still in the Hunt?
As Round 4 concludes, the playoff picture is starting to take shape across all divisions.
